To report a UFO sighting, please visit MUFON.com and fill out the detailed sighting report form. (The Red Oval at the top right of the page. This ensures we have all the necessary information to investigate your experience thoroughly.

What information should I include in my report?
Include the date, time, and location of the sighting, a detailed description of what you observed, any photos or videos, and any other witnesses present. The more details you provide, the better we can assist you.

Can I remain anonymous when reporting a sighting?
Yes, you can choose to remain anonymous. We respect your privacy and will not disclose your identity without your consent.

What happens after I submit my report?

After submitting your report to MUFON.Com, a report will be generated for Idaho and we will take it from there. Our team will review the information and will contact you for further details. We aim to investigate each sighting thoroughly and provide feedback on our findings.

How to become a MUFON Field Investigator

HOW TO BECOME A MUFON FIELD INVESTIGATOR

To become a MUFON Field Investigator you must be at least 18 years of age, be able to acceptably pass a personal background check, and be willing to execute and agree to a MUFON non-disclosure agreement.

 

STEP 1 – Go to MUFON.com

 

STEP 2 – BECOME A MEMBER ($59.88 yearly)

Join or renew your membership with MUFON. Only members in good standing may achieve Field Investigator status.

 

STEP 3 – TALK TO YOUR IDAHO STATE DIRECTOR (Free)

STEP 4 – GET YOUR COPY OF THE MUFON FIELD INVESTIGATOR MANUAL ($125.00)

I recommend the Hard Copy version as you will be taking an open book test. (NOTE: the online version is NOT downloadable). The manual is available at: Mufon.com

 

STEP 5 – STUDY THE FIELD INVESTIGATOR MANUAL

          Read it! Yes, all of the pages :), as you will be taking an open-book test. You will have 1 year from the date of purchase to pass your exam.

The section where it lists the equipment you will need; you will only need a good computer with a stable Wi-Fi connection and a curious mind. We have the rest.

 

STEP 6 – TAKE THE FIELD INVESTIGATOR CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION ON MUFON UNIVERSITY

You will have 1 year from the date of purchase to pass your exam. To become a Field Investigator Trainee, you must achieve a score of at least 80% or greater on the MUFON Field Investigator’s Exam.

 

STEP 7 – FIELD INVESTIGATOR BADGE PHOTOS & PAPERWORK

After passing the Examination sign and snail mail via USPS, the originals of the required paperwork to MUFON Headquarters

 

STEP 8 – MENTOR WITH A LICENSED MUFON FIELD INVESTIGATOR

Once you pass your exam and have your paperwork and background check approved, you will be designated a Field Investigator Trainee. We will take it from here!
